Job Description
Purpose: Carry out mechanical repair and service of all machines in the mills and headhouse to ensure continuous operation.
THE JOB
- Electrical System Maintenance: Responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of all electrical systems and equipment’s in the plant.
- Safety Compliance: Must be familiar with international regulations and classification society rules related to electrical systems. Conduct safety inspections, identify potential hazards, and implement corrective actions to prevent accidents or electrical failures.
- Emergency Response: Assist in identifying and resolving electrical issues, coordinate with other departments, and take appropriate actions to restore electrical supply or mitigate risks.
- Spare Parts Inventory: Managing the inventory of electrical spare parts is an important aspect of the electrical officer’s job. Identify and procure necessary spare parts, maintain stock levels, and ensure availability of critical components.
Requirements
THE PERSON MUST
- Have effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Possess excellent problem-solving skills.
- Experience operating hand and power tools, soldering and fault-testing equipment.
- Have good organizational and time management abilities.
- Be observant and detail oriented.
QUALIFICATION
