Job Description
What will I be doing?
- Assist surgeons during surgical procedures by ensuring all necessary instruments and supplies are available
- Prepare patients for surgery, including administering medications and ensuring all pre-operative procedures are completed
- Monitor patients’ vital signs during surgery and assist with post-operative care as needed
- Maintain a sterile environment in the operating room and adhere to infection control protocols
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes
- Participate in continuous education and training to stay updated on best practices and advancements in perioperative nursing care.
Requirements
What are we looking for?
- Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Nursing
- Valid nursing license from the Nigerian Nursing and Midwifery Council
- Proven experience working as a Theatre Nurse, preferably in a surgical setting
- Excellent knowledge of surgical procedures, instrumentation, and sterile techniques
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Commitment to providing compassionate and high-quality patient care.
