Job Description
Impactt has been commissioned by a global beverages company to undertake an assessment of the contracted workforce engaged at its site in Nigeria. The purpose of the assessment is to help the company gain an understanding of the labour rights risks experienced by its contracted workforce and assess the effectiveness of management systems in mitigating these risks.
Impactt is looking for a local worker interviewer to support this assessment. The selected Worker Interviewer will be expected to:
- Attend briefing calls with the Impactt team.
- Conduct worker interviews of contracted workers in either English or in one of the majority languages spoken in Nigeria, where applicable.
- Attend debrief sessions with the Lead Assessor throughout the assessment.
- Support with logistical arrangements for the interviews, where required.
- Reporting findings from interviews in a pre-designed template.

General Experience
- Minimum of 2-4 years’ experience delivering individual or group interviews (preferably working with vulnerable groups of people)
- Good understanding of national labour law
- Exposure to international labour law
- Experience in social compliance auditing or labour rights assessments/investigations.
Specific Experience
- A good understanding of labour rights risks faced by subcontracted workers in international supply chains.
Language
- Good written and spoken English.
- Fluency in one or more of the majority language groups in Nigeria. e.g Hausa, Yoruba, Igbo, Fula
Right to work
- Must have a legal right to work in Nigeria.
