Job Description
Role Overview:
We are seeking a dynamic and charismatic Curator with a passion for art, a knack for content creation and social media, and also an experience in retail. This role requires an individual who is motivated and dynamic and will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the gallery, attending to walk-in clients, and contributing to the gallery’s online presence through content creation and social media management. Ideal candidate should be a Female, conventionally attractive, sharply dressed and well groomed at all times. This is an entry level position with room for advancement in the company.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist customers with purchases and handle transactions accurately.
- Greet and assist walk-in customers in a friendly and professional manner.
- Provide information about the artworks, artists, and current exhibitions.
- Answer inquiries regarding pricing, availability, and artwork details.
- Ensure the gallery is clean, organized, and presentable at all times.
- Monitor inventory levels and communicate restocking needs to the Sales Manager.
- Assist with the setup and takedown of exhibitions and events as needed.
- Maintain knowledge of gallery policies, procedures, and security protocols.
- Create engaging content for social media platforms including Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to develop effective social media strategies.
- Assist with administrative duties such as maintaining customer records and processing sales invoices.
- Prepare reports on sales performance, visitor demographics, and social media engagement.
- Provide support to the Sales Manager and other team members as needed.
Requirements
Qualifications:
- Not less than a year experience in sales, customer service, or retail is preferred.
- Strong knowledge and appreciation of art, particularly murals and large-format artworks.
- Proficiency in using CRM systems, online sales platforms, and other digital tools.
- Exceptional interpersonal, communication, organizational and consultative selling skills.
- Proficiency in using social media platforms for business purposes.
- Must live on the island and its environs
